What is SIFI?
SIFI is a seminar offered by the various Schools of Social Work to qualified agency personnel to facilitate the transition from practitioner or supervisor to field educator.

Why is SIFI important?
All field instructors providing field instruction for social work students must be SIFI-certified. Agencies must have a social work student program with standards and philosophy acceptable to the School, the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), and the professional community.
